Heart and Grit: Izuku is Quirkless, bullied, and underestimated — yet his determination makes him instantly relatable and inspiring. Epic Mentorship: The introduction of All Might sets up a mentor-student dynamic packed with hope and intensity. World-Building: From school life
What a way to start the episode with heartbreaking, inspiring, and goofy moments that made us cry and laugh at the same time. I can say for sure that Deku's a successful fanboy!
A strong introduction to the anime’s lore and world-building, delivered through the MC’s narration, which felt more personal and helped create a deeper connection with the audience.
This episode beautifully highlights that being a hero isn't just about having a superpower. Despite the constant bullying and rejection he faces, Midoriya’s unwavering desire to save others portrays exactly why this is such a fantastic anime.
A teenage boy who wanted to be a hero but doesn't have the ability. A classic shounen storyline. Despite it all, the first episode brought us amazing animation, a great opening, and an emotional connection with the protagonist.
A grounded, character-first opener that tactically builds theme, stakes, and motivation through quiet realism, framing heroism as earned resolve rather than spectacle, setting a disciplined narrative trajectory.
The society thinks better 'quirk' is better hero, the main character doesn't have one, yet he does have what it takes to be a hero. Now while it's an interesting setting, let's not forget the soundtrack doing a really good job to get us hooked on each scene.
It introduces a world where almost everyone has powers, focusing on Deku’s dreams and struggles. The animation, characters, and story setup are engaging and set the stage for an exciting series. A solid start!
My Hero Academia does a great job of introducing its world and main character in a very relatable way. We’re introduced to Izuku Midoriya, a boy who dreams of becoming a hero in a world where almost everyone has superpowers, known as “Quirks.” The twist? He doesn’t have one.
The world really feels alive, the characters are really engaging, and the pacing keeps you hooked from the first scene.
This one hit way more emotionally than I expected. The “not all men are created equal” line still stings, especially paired with young Deku being told he can’t be a hero. You really feel that rejection. But when he finally hears you can become a hero? That moment lands hard.8/10
It’s so inspiring to see a kid who has nothing but a big heart finally get a chance to chase his dreams. You really feel for him because he wants to help people so badly, even when the whole world tells him he can't.
Fantastic setup to a unique and interesting world. Clearly sets the tone of never giving up with fantastic animated combat.
In a world where Quirks define society, Izuku Midorya is born poweless but despite that his dreams are higher of becoming the world's greatest hero as he catch All might's attention and proving that a true hero comes with courage!
This episode actually showed true admiration of a kid for their hero in their life, genuine unconditional love towards what they do and that captivated me that made me decide oh I am gonna watch more of this and see what happens
The idea of someone without any quirks/powers becoming the greatest hero will really make you interested on how the hell will he be able to achieve all that. must watchhh! one of the great new gen anime!
