Episode Context

Coming off episode 23's deeper dive into Masa's backstory, this penultimate stretch pivots to Kai and reinforces the ensemble bonds that will matter heading into the finale. It serves as the emotional foundation before episode 25's 'The Family Game,' where familial stakes escalate significantly. With only two episodes remaining, 'Farewell Friend' is the calm-before-the-storm character moment that late-series comedies need to make their conclusions hit.
