This episode doesn't sit really well with me. Help was already offered, but they pursued their plans. Now, they end up asking Ginko for more help.

The story about the blue fire was really intriguing, and it was nice to see two seasoned Mushishi working together. Another episode that skipped the opening for a longer story - a nice surprise. The mystery that followed further elevates the story and atmosphere.

The disagreement between Ginko and Yahagi is intense. Ginko manages to explain it patiently, making his point. The story is calming yet still unsettling.
