the plot twist and the way they metaphorically described how she killed herself by slowly losing herself to her mother's desires js cuts the deepest

This one cuts deeper than just a spooky ghost story. Less flashy than other arcs, but emotionally one of the strongest. Quietly crushing. Great episode!

Episode Context

Episode 7 concludes the two-part 'Faceless Monster' arc that began in Episode 6, resolving the spiritual and psychological conflict surrounding Ochou while showcasing the Medicine Seller's signature exorcism methodology. Sitting at the season's midpoint, this episode marks the end of the show's fourth standalone mystery and transitions into the 'Japanese Chimera' arc beginning in Episode 8. It's a strong standalone entry point for understanding the series' episodic structure, where each multi-part arc functions as its own self-contained horror narrative.
