The battle IQ when it comes to the girls is pretty concerning, and what I've learnt from this episode is that you should NOT try to be a hero. The pacing is again quite erratic, with the first half being uneventful with a LOT of dialogue and the second half being fast-paced af. The voice acting was seriously pretty amazing though, and some of the background shots look quite beautiful. What's also pretty fascinating is that the names of the weapons are drawn from Ancient Nordic mythology. For example, Surtr (Sakuya's weapon) is the greatest of the fire giants - which makes sense cuz the weapon is a sword with flames. Gleipnir is a binding that was used by the gods to bind Fenrir. The weapon used by Hina, she mentions, is used for "hacking", which is also a sort of binding, which is actually cool cuz it makes sense.
Okay, there was potential. But it's hard to care about the characters with random jiggle physics and events that just make no sense whatsoever, including decisions from the girls themselves. Not to mention we hardly know them but they're already referencing something we do not know much about. Even if it's fiction, a lot of it is unrealistic and nonsensical. Cute mini cooking scene, though.
It was funny everytime Renge want something and think about the best comfort food for them, and afterwards they are great hero.
