Not only does it show how powerful Mob is, but it delves into his trauma, his humanity, and his constant struggle not to become a monster. It's the episode where you really understand the heart of Mob Psycho 100

The show is just getting better and better with this episode. The humor and action did not disappoint, what impress me the most is how Mob view his psychic ability compare to other rather "normal" ability, it refreshing to see this kind of view in a main character.

This episode of Mob Psycho leaves no emotion untouched; one moment you can be laughing and the next you can be crying. The animation is fantastic and portrays the fast paced fight in a visually stunning way. Amazing watch

The mixture of serious and funny moments really blend well. The transition and pacing between different moments really breaks the ice.

A more emotional episode with a good mix of action and humor. It deepens the story while still keeping things engaging and unpredictable. Plenty of humor to be found as usual and some flashback momments too!

didn't expect such good characterization from the guy who created OPM, and I genuinely love this unique method the anime employs in examining adolescent emotions. It's a brilliant storytelling tool because it enables exciting action too. And the visuals just blow my mind...

Lowkey one of the best. Mob struggling with normal stuff feels so real, and Arataka Reigen actually drops a really solid life lesson. Not much action, but it hits different.

This one cracked me up multiple times. The side characters are hilarious but never overbearing. I also like how small emotional moments land naturally.

Teru is everything Mob could become if he let power get to his head. The hair, the attitude, the "I'm better than everyone" energy. Mob refusing to fight while getting thrown through buildings? Then the broccoli kid shows up and everything changes. That ending? Chills. 🥦

MUST WATCH. This episode is a MASTERPIECE. The animation, the voice acting, the direction, the writing, all of it comes together to create something genuinely transcendent. If you skip this, you miss the entire emotional core of the series. You miss EVERYTHING...

The fight between Mob and Teru is legendary, not just for the action, but for the clash of their beliefs about psychic powers. The animation is experimental and wild. You’ve never seen anything like it.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episodes 1-4 established Mob's world, his relationships, and the comedic foundation of his daily life — Episode 5 marks the season's first true turning point at nearly the midway mark. The confrontation with Teru directly challenges the principles Mob has built his identity around, creating consequences that ripple through the second half of the season. This episode sets the stage for deeper explorations of Mob's emotional limits and the escalating threats that define the back half of the twelve-episode run.
