This episode is absolutely hilarious! A lot of interaction and scenarios is meme-worthy and the world building with clubs activities, especially the first appearance of Body Improvement club is so wholesome!

The goofy animation really enhances the unique personalities of characters. It may be slow burn but it really sets the pacing.

This episode leans heavily into comedy with tons of meme-worthy moments. The character interactions is definately the focus, and the pacing keeps things fun while sneaking in some surprisingly thought-provoking lines. ✨

Love how the art transcends a mere gimmick with its simple details; it fits so well and captures the show's bizarre-ness without being excessively extravagant or wild. Really great direction. The next episode is going to be really great.

More laid-back and focuses on growth. Mob tries to improve himself without using his powers. It’s still funny, just a bit slower, but shows the story’s core.

The introduction of the Body Improvement Club is surprisingly wholesome and one of my favorite parts of the season. It’s a slow build, but the character development for Mob starting to choose his own path is great.

The Body Improvement Club is the purest thing ever. These guys are BUILT and they just cheer Mob on while he's struggling. No ego just "you can do it" energy. Mob's brother Ritsu having powers too? Something's off. Mob casually flexing on the fake gang with his real one?Perfect 🏋

I laughed a lot here, but also felt Mob’s subtle growth. His quiet determination really shines, and the pacing keeps me excited without feeling rushed.

This episode is ESSENTIAL for understanding the whole series. The themes of youth, choice, and self determination are set up here. Plus the Body Improvement Club is the best club OAT and one of the most beloved groups in anime, and this is their first appearance, must watch fr.

The dialogues and humors at its best! Mob tries to live normal high school life along with his psychic work, but he was being tortured(over a phone) to join the Telepathy club! Thta phone conversation was hilarious😂. Also the conversation with Body Movement club was funny!

The episode opens with everyday adolescent moments, highlighting Mob’s emotional distance from typical youth experiences. Through his psychic work and a reflective encounter, he begins reassessing his life and takes a quiet step toward engaging more fully with adolescence.

Animation and humor is consistent. Episode two focuses on Mob's desire for normallife and adolescence leading him joining the Body Improvement Club. Episode focuses character development.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 1 established Mob's psychic abilities and his dynamic with Reigen — this second installment pivots inward, introducing the school-life tensions and personal insecurities that will drive Mob's arc across the full twelve episodes. The Telepathy Club dilemma forces Mob to confront choices about self-improvement and belonging, seeding themes that escalate significantly in later episodes. It's foundational setup disguised as a comedic breather, laying the groundwork for Mob's journey toward genuine personal growth beyond his powers.
