Mission: Yozakura Family Season 2

I liked this finale episode for the season. The way it was laid out as a setup for the next season was really good. Though, Kyoichiro's situation was resolved a little too quickly, which made it feel somewhat anti-climactic in the end. I still liked how it ended, though. It really made things exciting for the upcoming season.

It was a little underwhelming how Kyoichiro's situation was resolved. Or maybe I was just expecting a little too much. Though, honestly, the ending scene really made things more interesting for the next season. The lore is just getting so good!

Watching this didn't feel like a season finale at all, but then I found out it was only the first cour. Taiyo's fight with Kyoichiro felt anticlimactic, and the same goes for the fight against Momo. The animation during the fights was also pretty rough, although it noticeably improved once Momo appeared. Overall, this season has a weaker production quality than the first, and a lot of moment felt anticlimatic, but the series still retains its charm. Can't wait for the next cour.

Tsubomi being the one behind the Kurozakura poison is so messed up and poor Kyoichiro has been carrying that weight all alone

It was hard watching Futaba fall to her knees after Kyoichiro escaped, but Taiyo showing up with those glowing purple eyes really changed the energy.

Mutsumi staying so calm on the bus while her brothers were fighting in the cave showed she is the only one who can lead this family right now

I was so shocked when the custodian turned out to be the Chairman and his description of having a brain flooded with information sounded like a total nightmare

Kyoichiro standing there with those black flower marks on his skin looked so painful and the way he told them to stay away was heartbreaking

The whole family launching that coordinated attack in the crater was incredible and it showed how much they have grown together

That flashback with Tsubomi and the poisoned blood really explains why Kyoichiro is acting so crazy and it makes everything so much sadder

That moment at the end with Taiyo and his purple eyes really got to me, because he finally feels like he belongs in this family. Seeing Kyoichiro covered in those black flowers was terrifying, and I really hope Nanao can find a way to fix the cellular destruction before it is too late for his body. It was a lot to process after that Tsubomi reveal.

Shinzo grabbing everyone into that huge hug was exactly what they needed and seeing him cry like that was such a powerful moment for the family

I cannot believe Kyoichiro just dissolved into petals like that and left everyone hanging like he did not even care about his siblings

The sibling dynamics in this family were too wholesome. Seeing some flashbacks really made this episode so much better and added depth to Kyoichiro's character. It also built some good anticipation for the next episode with that cliffhanger.

I'm too much of a Hiroshi Kamiya fan because I knew the moment the character spoke that it was really him. 🤣 I love him so much. This episode really became a guessing game for me. But anyway, this one was great. Next episode's gonna be so fire!

This episode shows that even though the family members often argue with Kyoichiro or claim they don't like him, they genuinely care about him. Each of them contributes in their own way to the search for him, making it clear how much he means to them. The soundtrack is really good in this episode. We also meet a new character who turns out to be one of Kyoichiro's friends, and we finally learn why Kyoichiro chose to distance himself from his family. Overall, it's a good episode that setting the stage for the final battle of this season.

watching him cry over wet clothes and uneven chopsticks is the most hilarious thing ever and then five minutes later he is literally dismembering ghosts with glowing red wires

kyoichiro using strings infused with somnin blood to slice through those puppets was incredible and it really shows how much he is willing to sacrifice just to keep mutsumi safe from their father the way he spoke to the family in the cave felt so cold and final and it leaves the family wondering where he went or what he is planning next
