Minami-ke Okawari

Iike this one it was coming of age story for the two sisters Kana and Chiaki. The work they put in for Haruka truly shows the bond these sisters have for each other, and that they never took for granted their older sister, even going so far as getting new found appreciation for all of the way Haruka made their lives safe and comfortable. I will say this she chose family with her grades she can easily get into any top university in Japan. Lilo and Stich could learn a thing or two about family, talk about a lackluster Disney movie. I loved the end credit scene, and the post credit scene it was cute, it shows what Kana and Chiaki accomplished weren't one off notes.

The animation glitches sometimes, the nurses arm spazzed out for no apparent reason which was pretty strange. See the cultural festival is taking place like clockwork. Albeit the placement of it in the season is pretty early which it was mention within the show itself. The story surrounding Fuyuki and Chiaki ended on a somber note. We can only hope he'll come back later on in the series. Overall a solid episode with a wacky cast, and a sobering atmosphere permeating throughout the episode, mainly the ending with Kana being hit with a sudden realization, she can't eat her ice cream anymore since she dropped her spoon on the floor.

A slice of life comedy is always good when paired with the element of misunderstandings. The old trope of faking a cold only to catch one for real when an important event arises is always a tried and true to show the follies of one trying to cheat their way of work, school, or chores, in Kana's case basically all three in a way. I love that kana is genuinely clueless when it comes to Fujioka. Chiaki set it up that Fujioka will most likely misinterpret Kana's intentions. Much to her surprise that Kana actually carried it out!

The entire gang goes flower viewing (even if it isn't the time for viewing). While Kana's group is setting things up on their end. Haruka's group are drinking "juice" and feeling alright! Fuyuki casually questions if Makoto is a boy almost blowing the lid off of his secret identity Kana foisted upon him. I the ending was sweet Chiaki having the biggest smile was such a good shock I like when the two younger sisters are in sync.

It was so sweet that Kana and Chiaki tried their best to step up for Haruka. In the end I'm a bit disappointed with Haruka's decision, but I understand why she made it. Overall I really enjoyed this anime. Like with some other slice of life anime, I think it shouldn't be binged in one go. It can make the episodes feel a bit repetitive after a while.

Aw Fuyuki, I hope we get to see him in the last episode :( When I was at school I didn't like sports days at all, but watching this episode made me miss them a bit.

The silliness the younger siblings and their friends get up to is very entertaining. While they're busy gaslighting my poor boy Makoto, their big sister is experiencing plot development.

I don't know why Kana had to lie at the end, could she not just pretend that she hasn't recovered from the first cold? While these last few episodes have been enjoyable and still have plenty of funny moments, I find them dragging a bit.

Even in the dead of winter what is a slice of life anime without its pool scene and characters clad in bathing suits. It was a silly get together, and as the series marches on the more I feel terrible about Touma and Makoto's situation even the Valentine's episode highlighted their predicament. I know its a comedy and played for laughs, but they are forcing them to do things they are clearly uncomfortable with and the follow through with Kana's unreasonable demands just because they value their relationship with the Minami family is unfair. Both of them should find new friends.

Cute episode, but I did get a bit bored halfway through. There was also no follow up to the big decision Haruka has to make that was brought up in the last episode.

This has been the most serious episode so far, although there are still a lot of wacky antics. Haruka is given an important storyline, which I was happy to see, since up until now I feel Kana and Chiaki have had most of the spotlight.

Talk about a red herring, even i was duped by the flow of this episode. It was a pretty good subversion I will say. The animation was a tad bit wonky in the beginning, Haruka's mouth flaps were glitchy and off in the beginning part of the episode. The episode opens with the Minami family and their usual antics. Interesting we're a good ways into the series but in universe winter is in full swing I find that to be rather novel.

Funnily enough I've experienced a blackout last week, thankfully it didn't last long, especially compared to what the girls went through, for the entire night and during winter talk about a tough break. I gotta say though Kana has some serious tolerance to winter I noticed from the previous episodes, antifreeze must run through her veins. Chiaki is a firecracker he comes across asa kuudere, but she's got spunk and she isn't afraid to voice her opinion. For better or worse she seems to be the only who understands Fuyuki, she's upfront and blunt with him, and even helps him in her own way by giving him advice.

Kana y Chiaki intentando funcionar sin Haruka es tan tierno como predecible. El caos doméstico está garantizado pero el corazón del episodio está en otro lado. Cierre cálido y honesto para una temporada irregular.

El episodio más agridulce de la temporada. Dos despedidas inesperadas en el mismo capítulo y el peso de ambas se siente. La dinámica entre Chiaki y Fuyuki nunca fue central pero aquí se nota su ausencia.

Kana finge estar enferma para evitar obligaciones y termina pagando el precio al día siguiente. Touma casi queda en evidencia y Kana improvisa una solución tan ridícula que de alguna forma funciona. Episodio divertido con buen ritmo.

Chiaki confunde una palabra y sin querer termina organizando un hanami antes de que florezcan los cerezos. Hayami aparece con "jugo" y el picnic no termina como nadie esperaba. Uno de los más divertidos de la temporada.

Kana está convencida de que sus sueños predicen la cena del día siguiente. Makoto casi la caga con Yoshino. Y Haruka recibe una noticia que preocupa más a sus hermanas que a ella misma. Episodio con más capas de lo que parece.

Chiaki tiene un secreto que preferiría llevarse a la tumba. Kana lo descubre y lo que sigue es uno de los episodios más tiernos de la temporada sin dejar de ser gracioso. Haruka duerme todo el tiempo y aun así roba su escena.

San Valentín en casa de las Minami y Kana siendo Kana otra vez, más interesada en comerse los chocolates ajenos que en dar los suyos. Touma roba escenas sin intentarlo y el episodio tiene buen humor sin forzarlo.
