What Emma said in this episode was kind of true, but I am beginning to dislike her character because of a lacktherof of development on her.. I hope they do so soon.

Interesting scene transitions to emphasize fast paced scenes and differentiate from slower emotional ones, where characters sit down and talk.

This episode had intense racing scenes with great animation to emphasize it better! I don't really like 3D assets in anime, but vehicle designs are nicely done and integrated.

Episode Context

Coming off the interpersonal friction resolved in 'Sparks Fly,' this episode redirects momentum firmly into the qualifying phase of the upcoming race, using Emma Greene's arrival to raise the competitive stakes internationally. It establishes the leaderboard's volatile early shape, particularly around Kanata and Ogata, while reinforcing the ever-present shadow of Takumi Fujiwara's legacy. The tension seeded here feeds directly into 'The King's Impatience,' where those qualifying results trigger psychological fallout across the field.
