Episode Context

Coming off the emotionally charged 'A Fleeting Kiss,' which tested Lucia and Kaito's bond against supernatural forces, episode 18 pivots to broaden the mermaid world by introducing Meru and her personal quest, adding new dynamics and tensions to the group. This episode sits roughly one-third into the 52-episode season, marking a natural expansion point where the story deepens its lore before heading into 'The Summer Temptations,' which refocuses on Lucia's evolving relationships during a summer event.
