Smooth animation all throughout. The world-building and event structure is well thought-out, it doesn't info overload you too. The comedic dialogues and tense parts are perfectly balanced. Tsukasa is giving Demon Slayer Rengoku vibes lmao

Sports jitters are depicted accurately here. Hikaru and Rioh's characters are uniquely depicted, establishing how Inori will be interacting with them for this series. Tension is nicely consistent

Episode Context

Following the premiere 'A Genius on the Ice,' which established the central bond between Inori and Tsukasa, this episode transitions from discovery to commitment as Inori takes her first tangible step into competitive figure skating through a preliminary badge test. It serves as essential groundwork for the season's competitive arc, directly setting up episode three, 'Taiyaki and Cake,' where Inori begins preparing for her first official event, the Meikoh Cup. At episode two of thirteen, this is foundational character work that the rest of the season will build upon.
