Synopsis
Meet Taika Inaba, a single office worker dealing with something most anime won't touch: erectile dysfunction. He's at a speed-dating event, trying to get his life together, when he meets Ayano Katase, a doctor who's upfront about wanting kids. Finding out your doctor is the same woman you just fled from at a dating mixer is a total nightmare and the coincidence is hilarious
I really did not expect the show to go this hard on the medical side of things but it works because the situation is so ridiculous, I found it funny how Taika only functions when he is around Ayano, since it gives them such a weird reason to stay together and it feels different from a typical seasonal romcom
Addressing ED as the main conflict is a bold choice and it makes the clinical scenes feel way more intense than a normal romcom
I felt so bad for Taika when he had to go to the doctor for his condition only to see Ayano sitting there after he just ran away from her at the event
Ayano just getting straight to the point about wanting a baby is wild and she does not waste any time making that secret deal with him
The tension in the exam room was high, especially when she started the checkup and he realized his body was finally responding
It is funny how he went from being terrified of his condition to finding the literal one person who fixes it by accident
The animation during the clinic scene looked better than expected and the character designs are really clean
That cliffhanger where he finds out he only works for her is such a classic AnimeFesta setup and it works so well
Ayano is definitely my favorite character so far because she seems so professional yet she was so eager at the dating event
Watching Taika try to explain himself at the clinic only to realize he was talking to his date from earlier made for such a funny scene
Ayano being a doctor who specifically wants kids and then finding a patient with this exact problem is a crazy coincidence
