The medical logic of Taika only being able to get it up for his doctor is so ridiculous but it makes their dynamic pretty unique compared to other shows in this genre

It was hilarious that Taika could barely last three days without touching himself just because he was thinking about Ayano all the time and then he just ran over to her place

almighty_yhwach
you can really tell the animators put a lot of work into the apartment scene and it lived up to the title for sure because the tension from the celibacy challenge made the payoff feel earned plus Ayano being so assertive about her goal to have a kid made the whole encounter feel pretty unique for this genre
catarina_claes_164's avatar
catarina_claes_164
seeing Ayano be so direct about the baby making goal makes the romance feel way more real than most other shows like this

that moment when Taika finally gives in and rushes to her apartment is the greatest thing that happened in the whole series so far

the comedy with the three day wait was fine but the pacing felt a bit rushed once they actually got to the bedroom part

The chemistry between them during the actual baby making part was great, and it felt like their bond actually grew a bit outside of just the contract stuff

I was shocked by how desperate Taika looked when he finally made it to her room, and he seemed like he was about to explode from waiting those three days

I think the censored version really kills the momentum of the big baby making night and you can tell the art quality drops compared to the premium cut
clemont_340's avatar
clemont_340
watching Taika sprint to her apartment was funny and the way they handled the actual scene at her place felt so much more intimate than the first two episodes
fubuki_blizzard_119's avatar
fubuki_blizzard_119
Ayano is just too much to handle in this one and seeing Taika fail his celibacy goal so fast was the best part
edward_elric_115's avatar
edward_elric_115
I couldn't stop thinking about how Taika was losing his mind because thoughts of Ayano made it impossible for him to stay calm for even a minute
amaterasu_angel's avatar
amaterasu_angel
seeing ayano drop her professional act for a second to tell him he can make her a mother was a huge shock, and the transition into the actual scene was handled way better than the pilot
izayoi_259's avatar

i really did not think they would jump straight to the baby making talk so fast but ayano is clearly not wasting any time and she knows exactly what she wants from him, and it makes my head spin how fast their relationship is moving while taika is still trying to figure out why his body only reacts to her medical checkups
chloe_344's avatar

my eyes were glued to the screen during the physical exam part because the animation looked so good and it actually felt like a step up from the first few weeks

ayano basically telling him they should just go for it and have a kid right now is a crazy doctor move and her confidence makes the whole scene feel totally different
haschwalth_halo's avatar

i think the exam room scene was way more intense than i expected because ayano is so bold and her taking charge of the treatment actually worked for him

Watching them move past the clinic awkwardness and get into the actual baby making part was satisfying and the animation handled those intimate moments pretty well

Ayano is definitely the MVP for being so patient with Taika, especially since he almost ruined everything by running away at the very beginning of their story

buruburu_blade
It is funny how the erectile dysfunction just vanishes the second they are together and the chemistry between them in the bedroom actually feels earned after that speed dating fail

EPISODE CONTEXT

Following Episode 2's establishment of the contract marriage between Taika and Ayano, this third installment deepens Taika's commitment to their agreement while exploring the personal cost of that dedication. Positioned just before the season's midpoint, it serves as a bridge between the initial setup and Episode 4, which is expected to introduce new dynamics and complications that shift the relationship into more complex territory.
