expanding on shimada's hometown provides excellent context for his communal motivations and kindness. transitioning from that into the domestic warmth of the kawamoto household, specifically highlighting the ideation of traditional sweets, is wonderfully done.

This episode was a breath of fresh air for Shimada. All of his worries were gone after seeing the old people, and he's also bringing a new lesson for the new season. I hope he won't suffer any stomach issues anymore on the next season though haha

With the end of the Shishi-ou Tournament, everyone’s lives goes back to normal. Or does it? A trip to Shimada’s hometown, Yamagata and a Human Shogi match, brings a light celebration to Kiriyama and his friends. Besides that, the Kawamoto family is also back with a sweet mission.

This episode is really calming and the atmosphere makes me miss my hometown. The story about Shimada is very warm, making the story even more calming.

Rei spends some time at a festival with Shimada and his best friend Harunobu as Shimada finally has a chance to relax and have fun. The Kawamoto family meanwhile are trying to come up with a new item for their shop.

The episode picks up where the last one left off. You can feel your anger growing. It is hard to watch but the story writing is good.

Finally, a cute and comfy episode after a long series of intense competition. The Kawamoto siblings never cease to heal my heart. That said, the animation and design are top-notch—Momo looks so cute and lively. Overall, amazing—comfy, lively, and exciting.
