the relationships between everyone here are just so beautifully complex. kyouko is such a deeply layered character. the emotional messiness of it all just adds so much depth to the story

the narrative excels at weaving intricate, multifaceted relationships between the cast. kyouko's characterization is particularly complex, adding necessary friction to the protagonist's otherwise healing social environment.

This episode has shown too many situations that would affect Rei's future. The only factor that pulls him from being the best of himself is his adoptive sister's mentality. It's frustrating that her brokenness and poor life decisions are affecting Rei.

Shimada goes onward to face the reigning champion as the sky begins to drop tears. Rei meets up with his estranged step-sister once more as paths intersect between people in his old life and new life.

The title match of the Shishi-ou Tournament between Shimada and the Meijin Souma. 3-gatsu ramps up to its season finale with a focus of a series of matches between 2 great competitors. Meanwhile, Kiriyama continues to have to face the awkward situations with his adoptive family.

I'm really confused about Rei and Kyoko's relationship. Sometimes I think they're siblings who understand each other, but sometimes they end up destroying each other.

The tone of the episode changes a little when more characters talk to each other. The energy is different almost loud compared to how quiet Rei usually is. It's a nice change but it's a little crazy.

Kyouko and Rei’s relationship is really complicated. I love how this episode tackles vulnerabilities and emotions. That said, Kyouko’s speculation made me laugh. Overall, great—the ambition, emotion, and the fun touch of comedy all shine. The style of direction is also top-notch.
