he reminds me so much of a stray black cat that hangs around but refuses to get close to anyone. seeing him willingly join the workshop and actually interact with people makes me so incredibly happy for his progress

the teacher proves to be an invaluable mentor figure. the protagonist's voluntary integration into the workshop represents a monumental milestone in his character development, signaling a gradual departure from his self-imposed isolation.

Nothing beats the little joy this episode brings. Rei has finally done something for himself, and his world is slowly getting bigger. Sprinkling happiness on Rei!

Aahh I really like this episode. Finally Kiriyama can really make a good bond with the people around him. It makes me feel the same warmth.

during the match. Rei seems calm on the outside but on the inside he's clearly stressed. The way the silence is used makes it feel heavy. There is not much going on but the pressure is very real.

Shimada’s situation is really relatable—the mental drain is real. That said, I love Rei and Shimada’s connection. I’m so happy that Rei finally stepped up. Overall, a fun episode—great direction, cute animation, and lively interactions despite the tension.
