What a twist on that end! Didn't see it coming. But what a way to end the arc. I was looking forward to seeing more of it but was kind of disappointed. The pacing got to be a little bit of an issue, and that was made happen by the twist and turn of the plot. The romance was back on again and felt like it was truly unnecessary to this point, like it was being dragged along.

This episode highlighted the true essence of Goro's signature pitch. The build-up is perfectly handles by the pacing, which allowed the lingering emotional weight to land with massive force. The animation looks fantastic, and shifts the tone to something deeply inspiring.

This is what I love about Major. To be honest, I was expecting Goro to epically overcome this one, but reality hit really hard this time. Goro, despite his greatness, isn't superhuman. The writing and realism, as I've said time and time again, are really phenomenal. Despite the lack of "epicness," this episode is still really EPIC.
