A bit dumbfounded about the starting scene, with Shimizu on board in a different setting. Thought that I skipped an ep by the fast-paced transition of the plot, yet it was indeed different from what the previous ep ended with. Shimizu's scenes kind of ruined the whole flow of the season with rushed, cringey, and dramatic romance. That plot twist was totally a bombshell!
This episode threw a huge wrench into the selection process. The tone quickly shifted to uneasy due to the sudden roster shakeup. The fast narrative pacing completely glued me to the screen. This provided some great character development for the management staff.
I really like the vibes in this episode. Watching Goro and Shimizu bicker like a married couple was simply so funny. That said, the little bit of drama in their relationship was such a great touch to the story. Aside from that, I really liked how the plot developed. To be honest, I felt a little down seeing Goro feeling so low, but I'm glad Toshi was there to help him and reignite his passion.
