With the twist on Mayumura's mental and emotional struggles and the hype and intense pacing, it quite slowed down in this episode. The pressure was in its high stakes, and the thrill somehow toned down, too. Despite the home-field disadvantage, Nishimura's performance was a relief. The animation on Mayumura's was as good as Goro's pitching. The announcer was a bit different for this game, though. And that plot twist!

While I didn’t expect this to be another build-up episode, I still enjoyed it a lot. This episode really made me look up to Mayumura even more. I’m so used to seeing him stay composed and act cool about everything, but I really liked how this episode showed his vulnerable side. Mayumura is human too, after all.
