EPISODE REVIEWS

Aside from the intense and motivating game, this episode truly depicted passion, dreams, and family. Passion and commitment were Gibson's mantra, while Shingo was still searching for his own dream. Goro and Shingo's one-on-one time was heartwarming. Shingo's backstory was full of expectations and pressure. The new ED has a fine tune but is kind of melancholic. That shocking cliffhanger will change the pace of the series, though.

Here the focus shifted to Team USA, providing an epic perspective. The tight pacing showcases the absolute dominance of the American powerhouse. The batting animation looked powerful, and established a high stakes tone.

While I love how passionate Gibson is, I just can’t help but hate how die-hard he is about baseball. I understand his heartfelt desire, and I deeply respect it, but it’s really hard to watch considering how bad his condition is. Maybe it’s because I’m not as passionate about baseball, so it’s hard for me to fully understand him. But that’s also why I love watching this so much. Being passionate is the purest form of respect anyone can offer.
