In The End, The Witch And Her Customer... The Animation
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Running a fortune-telling practice in the city, Mojikawa is a young fortuneteller whose business is barely keeping afloat — clients are sparse, money is tight, and her gift feels more like a burden than a business. Then Leo walks through her door — a young man haunted by visions he can't explain — and here's the twist: Mojikawa has already seen him in her own visions, and what she saw was deeply embarrassing for both of them. Her foresight has never been wrong before. It's not about to start now. This 2-episode OVA from Studio 1st, based on the manga, leans into that awkward, charged tension between two strangers who are essentially pre-fated to end up in a compromising situation together. The fantasy framing — the fortune-telling, the visions, the sense of destiny colliding with denial — gives it a bit more texture than you might expect from the genre. It's not trying to be Kimi no Na wa, but if you liked how that film used fate and coincidence to build romantic tension between two people who haven't properly met yet, there's a familiar thread here. Fans of Yosuga no Sora who appreciate character chemistry before things escalate will probably find the setup genuinely engaging. It's short, the premise is specific enough to feel fresh, and the dynamic between Mojikawa and Leo carries enough personality to make the journey worth the two episodes it asks from you.
