sasha_necron_157★★★★☆EP 1The animation on her expressions when the customer arrived was surprisingly good and it made the whole awkward encounter feel way more real
Running a fortune-telling practice in the city, Mojikawa is a young fortuneteller whose business is barely keeping afloat: clients are sparse, money is tight, and her gift feels more like a burden than a business. Then Leo walks through her door, a young man haunted by visions he can't explain, and here's the twist: Mojikawa has already seen him in her own visions, and what she saw was deeply embarrassing for both of them. Her foresight has never been wrong before. It's not about to start now. This 2-episode OVA from Studio 1st, based on the manga, leans into that awkward, charged tension between two strangers who are essentially pre-fated to end up in a compromising situation together. The fantasy framing: the fortune-telling, the visions, the sense of destiny colliding with denial, gives it a bit more texture than you might expect from the genre. It's not trying to be Kimi no Na wa, but if you liked how that film used fate and coincidence to build romantic tension between two people who haven't properly met yet, there's a familiar thread here. Fans of Yosuga no Sora who appreciate character chemistry before things escalate will probably find the setup genuinely engaging. It's short, the premise is specific enough to feel fresh, and the dynamic between Mojikawa and Leo carries enough personality to make the journey worth the two episodes it asks from you.

sasha_necron_157★★★★☆EP 1The animation on her expressions when the customer arrived was surprisingly good and it made the whole awkward encounter feel way more real
raifort★★★☆☆EP 1You can tell she is already lost because her foresight never fails and she looks so stressed trying to make those ends meet
noelle_neptune★★★☆☆EP 1I actually felt bad for her when she realized the guy from her vision was actually standing right in front of her shop
yellow★★★☆☆EP 1That part where she was worrying about money right before the exact guy from her premonition walks in is a great setup
xerneas_311★★★★☆EP 1I think her design is so cute and that vision she had about the guy is going to make everything so awkward when they finally talk
kyogre_307★★★☆☆EP 1The voice acting for the witch really sold the whole bit where she was panicking internally while trying to keep her cool during the fortune telling
franky_fiesta_65★★★☆☆EP 1Most of these things have zero plot but the whole idea of a psychic seeing her own future with a customer is actually a fun hook and seeing her get flustered every time she looked at him made the episode feel more like a real story than just a random scene which is why the ending felt like it actually meant something
sakuramysunshine★★★☆☆EP 1I almost choked on my drink when the guy from her vision actually walked into the shop and she just froze up completely
vy_vampire★★★★☆EP 1Watching her struggle with the knowledge of what happens later is the best part, especially when she realizes she cannot change fate no matter how hard she tries
gojo_gaze★★★★☆EP 1The animation during the actual climax scenes was way better than what you usually get from these kinds of releases and the character expressions stayed consistent the whole time
artemis★★★★☆EP 1I kept cracking up watching her try to act professional even though she already knew exactly how the day was going to end after that opening scene
devonte2847★★★☆☆EP 1Seeing that specific doujin art style actually get animated looks pretty decent and the way they handled the colors for the magic scenes was a nice touch
penny★★★★☆EP 1You can really tell she is terrified of her own powers after seeing what that guy was going to do, and the awkwardness when he walks in the door is perfect
violet_evergarden_168★★★★☆EP 1It was so funny seeing the fortuneteller try to avoid her own vision and then having him actually show up made me laugh out loud
sailor_neptune★★★★☆EP 1That witch design is top tier and her reactions to the visions made the whole episode really stand out
ningyo_nemesis_48★★★★☆EP 1It is so rare to see an anime handle death without a bunch of screaming and the quietness of Asa just existing in that big empty house really stood out
dankan_dancer_475★★★★☆EP 1That scene at the funeral where the adults are just gossiping while Asa stares at the floor was so uncomfortable to watch and Makio acting like a total weirdo to rescue her changed everything
cassidy★★★★☆EP 1Seeing Makio snap at her sisters funeral because everyone was treating Asa like an object really got to me, and that Kensuke Ushio score during the car ride made the grief feel so heavy
yumichika_peacock_469★★★☆☆EP 1Makio being so blunt about not promising to love Asa was actually the most decent thing anyone said to that poor kid all day and it made the whole house offer feel way more sincere
angelegf★★★☆☆EP 1I really felt for Asa when all those relatives were just talking over her at the funeral and nobody noticed she was literally starving until Makio stepped in
