Sitting just past the midpoint of the 26-episode run, this episode continues the beach vacation arc that began in Episode 16, using a more relaxed setting to deepen the Misaki-Usui dynamic outside the usual school environment. The shift in Usui's role from ally to opponent mirrors the series' ongoing exploration of their complicated push-and-pull relationship.
