Yes, we finally get to see that iconic mech popularized by this franchise. Glad to see that the battle was resolved far better than expected, most of the cast (and viewers) can breath a sigh of relief, for now. New faces emerge by the way, are they friend or foe? Time will tell.

Wahh visual ledakannya keren bangett. Awalnya aku kurang suka dengan genre mecha, tapi ternyata visual mesin yang detail dan ledakannya yang realistis keren banget. Suasana huru hara di episode ini juga kerasa banget ke penonton.

This episode is exactly what Macross series is all about, where mecha-action and hype boosting idol music packed seamlessly into a compact and balanced story. We also get some foreshadowing with the intoduction of a new mysterious character from the other side, overall 9/10.
