EPISODE REVIEWS
We're so back with the second season of Log Horizon. As always, the pacing is slow whenever they started to lay seeds for the plot ahead, and from this episode nothing is clear yet, just bits and pieces, with that beginning and ending that I felt was shown as a snippet of what's to come, a hook. The animation also looks somewhat better than last season too, which is nice. Overall a great start to the new season!
It was a solid start to the season. It took its time showing how things had changed since season 1 instead of jumping straight into the action. I liked seeing what everyone had been up to, and it brought back the same focus on strategy and planning that made the first season interesting. It was definitely a slower episode, so if you were expecting big fights right away, it might have felt a bit quiet. Still, I thought it did a good job setting up what was coming next. I'd recommend giving it a watch and sticking with it.
The premiere is a bit intriguing. All the heavy economic stuffs were beautifully handled by the pacing. The tone was very calculated, and paired with a clean animation, which set up the foundation for some solid future character development.
