The start is good—strategy and tension.
But the ending is very annoying, with that character behaving stupidly.
Overall - invested till the end—9/10.

HOLY PLOT TWISTTTTTTTTTT ???

At this point saya nggak yakin Nao ini manusia. Tindakannya lebih mirip binatang yang tidak punya rasa waspada sama jebakan.

I’m honestly having a great time watching this anime, especially this episode. The pacing, the plot, and the way things gradually revealed are really captivating. Some anime tend to lose my interest or feel boring, but this one definitely doesn’t. It’s also satisfying to see events unfold exactly the way I suspected. Great episode overall.

Un episodio con una impactante revelación sobre el "Jugador X", aunque siento que era algo esperable al menos para mí. Aún así, logra generar el impacto emocional buscado. Me gustó que el personaje de Akiyama haya sido desarrollado con su genialidad.

Loved the twist and the tactical battle in this game! That ending was definitely a “WTF?!” moment. Though, Nao was a bit too painful to watch in that part, lmfao. She's hilariously innocent, though.

This was such a tense episode, and to think that they had to wait six hours just to vote—that would be nerve-wracking. I like the twist at the end, it made me look forward to what will happen next.

Akiyama really be carrying this whole game. I'm really impressed by this dude. Meanwhile, I don't really know how to feel about Nao T^T But I hope we get to have some good moments for her.

It sets the stage for escalating tension while testing whether Nao’s honesty can withstand the ruthless logic of the game.

The detail of Akiyama folding his paper into a square was interesting even if it didn't stop the betrayal. It shows he is always ten steps ahead and he clearly knew something was off with the voting the whole time

The tension in the room during the second round was suffocating and you could tell something was wrong. Fukunaga played the long game perfectly so those earlier scenes with the buffet are just creepy now

Nobody could have predicted that cross-dressing twist, and the final reveal of the votes was intense. It makes sense why Akiyama was looking so stressed out during the phone call earlier

I feel so bad for Nao right now because she really thought she made a friend. That Fukunaga reveal actually made my skin crawl and I cannot believe the contract was just a total lie

Player 15 being a red herring was a smart move but poor Nao is just way too honest for this world. You can see her spirit just break when Fukunaga starts gloating about the fake signature

It is actually starting to frustrate me how easily Nao gets tricked again because she is so gullible. My head was hurting when she signed that contract without even checking if Hitomi was a real name

Fukunaga is a complete monster and that laugh at the end was chilling. It sucks seeing the alliance fall apart after all that planning and math from Akiyama earlier in the night

I was staring at my screen in total shock when that wig came off, because I really wanted Nao to have a win for once. It was so cruel when Fukunaga just mocked her for being kind, and it makes me wonder how Akiyama is going to fix this mess after that phone call he made to her. This episode proves that nobody is actually who they say they are

Akiyama explaining the math behind the game was actually pretty cool and it makes the whole thing feel way more dangerous. The office taking fifty percent of the money is such a scam

Everything changed when Hitomi pulled off that wig and started laughing like a maniac. It felt so gross seeing Nao get played after she finally started trusting someone in this house

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off Episode 4's introduction of the Minority Rule challenge, this episode shifts focus from the rules of the game to the human cost of playing it — specifically, whether genuine cooperation can survive in a structure that incentivizes betrayal. Alliance acts as a pivot point, moving Nao and Akiyama's dynamic from uneasy partnership into something more tested and layered. What gets established here — in terms of trust, strategy, and the introduction of new player dynamics — feeds directly into the psychological escalation that defines the episodes ahead.
