The world building is fantastic, imagining the war in a fantasy style is engaging with novelty. We see some character growth in Alec, the music scene in sync with his training is well put together. Chaos is unfolding. Interesting to see how Deryn & Alek's paths will meet.

I love to see what kind of worlds people can create with fantasy, I'm extremely interested in history and have been learning a lot about the Yugoslavian countries, ww1, WW2, the USSR and politics in general fascinate me endlessly, this show is such a perfect one, i love it.

The piano sequence with Alek’s mom was such a gut punch, especially seeing how he uses that rhythm to pilot the walker now. It makes the clunky metal feel so much more personal. Deryn meeting Dr. Barlow and those glowing eggs was a total highlight.
