OH!?!?!! SO THAT'S HOW THEY'RE PLAYING THIS? OKAYYY, I'M IN.The previous episode was all about Reinhard's backstory, and now we get Yang's. This is truly a golden experience... giving us so much more emotional depth from both perspectives instead of making the story feel one-sided. Hmm... what's the closest comparison I can think of? Breaking Bad, I guess...The story itself is great, and the dynamic between these three is really enjoyable. We finally get to learn who Jean is after seeing them face Reinhard in the very first episode.Man... anime like this is so hard to find nowadays.
A great nice background story of the polar opposite of protagonist character...A nice pace of storyline with a stunning visual of the anime..good characters development and bond...
Now it's Yang's turn to shine, and I'm loving the contrast. There's something so refreshing about a military genius who's just... reluctant and laid-back about the whole thing, like he'd rather be doing literally anything else. The episode does a great job showing him against the political backdrop around him, and that tension between who he is and what everyone expects of him is crazy
