A 2D animation managed to portray this much emotion... I mean, yeah, it's Production I.G, a studio behind so many great anime. But man... I just can't get bored watching a flashback like this. The story, the soundtrack, and THE ANIMATION are all absolutely beautiful here. Annerose? Nah, that's just Mari Ohara from another universe lmao. But welp, that's all I have to say about this episode, a backstory of our king, Reinhard.
A great character developments and bonds...an unique genius at young age that surpassed all the senior officer...great visual and nice dialogue..good pacing of the story progress..
This one slows down a bit and goes deep into character, and I loved that .It's a nice change of pace after all the action, and honestly the personal scenes are animated beautifully too.
