This ep feels a bit slower compared to the others. Still love the writing though, it balances heartwarming, funny, and a bit of intensity really well. A new side character shows up but not much depth yet. Also, tsundere Houzuki moments with Chika? Cute!

Pretty solid episode overall. The jokes were good, and I loved seeing the characters grow closer and support each other more. It felt a bit like a filler episode, but still important for building the group dynamic and story.

This slice of life story perfectly accompanies its narrative with lighthearted scenes, ensuring it never feels sluggish or dull. Instead, each moment keeps you thoroughly entertained, even when the pace is slow and dense, as it builds the necessary foundation for the story.

Episode Context

Sitting at the season's midpoint, episode 8 builds directly on the trust and vulnerability explored in 'Unknown Sounds,' converting those personal revelations into practical challenges as the club attempts to unite musically under Satowa's direction. The introduction of Himesaka students expands the competitive landscape and plants seeds for rivalries and relationships that will define the back half of the season. This is the hinge episode, the club's foundation is set, and everything from here escalates toward performance.
