EPISODE REVIEWS
Finally we get Houzuki’s backstory with her family, and it’s really sad. Her koto playing really carries the emotion too. Then Kurusu starts stirring things up, but the club’s bond is already strong. Feels like this might lead to some growth for her.
Much better episode. Kurusu finally got called out, though I think she was forgiven a bit too quickly. I loved the moments between Kudou and Hozuki, and Hozuki’s backstory was genuinely sad. I wish the forgiveness arc lasted another episode.
This focal point of the story provides a profound meaning regarding Hozuki’s circumstances and her reluctant growth, while also explaining the deep seated reasons behind Kurusu’s approach. Hence, the pace is slow as it centers on the characters’ complex background stories.
