Kirio Fan Club Episode 3: Dragon Kirio

Aimi and Nami begin in a cafe booth, listing their bizarre, competitive desires regarding Kirio. Their fantasies range from mundane hamburger dates to the absurd notion of breaking all the world's plates together. Nami's sudden tears are not sadness, but an imagined scenario of being trapped in a locker with Kirio, highlighting the intensity of her fixation. Aimi immediately tries to outdo her, yelling her own extreme wishes across the cafe.

The competition continues as Aimi and Nami challenge each other with increasingly absurd romantic scenarios involving Kirio, from Wi-Fi connections to becoming Othello pieces. Nami declares herself the winner after Aimi's hunger interrupts the game. Nami then presents a grainy photo of Kirio's desk, revealing the word "DRAGON" scribbled on it, a mundane detail that paradoxically elevates him in their eyes.

Leaving the cafe, Aimi and Nami ponder Kirio's newly discovered "DRAGON" scribbling, which makes him seem more approachable. Their conversation shifts to Manda Mitsuru, a classmate known for unsettling rumors. Tales of hair-boiling and human cloning make him an intriguing, if creepy, figure, and they decide he is the perfect person to aid their next scheme.

Aimi and Nami locate Manda in the chemistry lab, his appearance living up to the unsettling rumors. Aimi asks for a machine to replicate Kirio's scent, but Manda dismisses science entirely. He proudly declares himself a practitioner of "jujutsu," or curse magic, demonstrating his dark art with a grotesque, cursed doll.

Nami cleverly deduces that if Manda can curse, he can also conjure love. Desperate, the girls agree to an experiment. Manda has them write their names in a "Death Is Note," a notebook that demands an action to avert death. Nami writes a desire involving Kirio, while Aimi, in a burst of self-loathing, writes a humiliating action for herself and then throws the book away in a fit.

The "Death Is Note" proves frighteningly effective. Later that day, Aimi trips in the school hallway, falling directly into a bucket of manure. Her self-inflicted curse, to be "covered in poop," manifests perfectly. Manda and Nami observe, Manda satisfied, Nami witnessing the tangible proof of his power.

Cleaning up in the lab, Aimi watches as Manda prepares to test her and Nami for who is more deserving of a "mutual love" charm for Kirio. Their first challenge, a barrel-based black magic game involving hair, breaks immediately under the force of their competitive aura. Manda, genuinely unnerved by their intensity, proposes an arm-wrestling match as a true test of will.

Back at the cafe, the girls contemplate a radical solution: a three-way date with Kirio. Their shared fantasy begins innocently, but quickly devolves into violence. In their minds, they literally tear Kirio apart in a tug-of-war for his affection, realizing the destructive impossibility of sharing him.

The battle for Kirio continues, this time through dubious mathematics. Aimi interprets Kirio's jersey number, 31, as "13," which she decodes into parts of her name. Not to be outdone, Nami performs her own convoluted calculations, deriving her name from the same numbers. Both are convinced of their fated connection, leading to yet another stalemate.

Just as their mathematical debate reaches a peak, the real Kirio enters the cafe with his friend and sits directly behind them. Their loud declarations abruptly cease, replaced by paralyzing social anxiety. They sit frozen, listening to Kirio's mundane conversation, every breath magnified by his unexpected proximity.

Overwhelmed, Aimi and Nami retreat to the cafe restroom for a frantic meltdown. Aimi expresses her chaotic thoughts about Kirio in a nervous, impromptu rap. A sudden, humiliating thought—that Kirio might think they are doing something unrefined in the bathroom—spurs them to gather their courage and face him.

With trembling voices and flushed faces, Aimi and Nami approach Kirio's table, stammering an invitation to a group picnic. Kirio, though confused, politely considers it. His friend, Sugawara, helps by suggesting they all exchange contact information, which they do. As the girls walk home at sunset, they erupt in euphoric screams, celebrating their monumental victory of finally having Kirio's contact details.
