📖 SYNOPSIS

"Kamisama Kiss" follows Nanami Momozono, a high school student whose life is upended when her father abandons her, leaving her homeless. Seeking shelter, she accepts an offer from a stranger she helped, unaware that the "home" is actually a neglected shrine. Thrust into the role of a local deity, Nanami must learn to manage the shrine and its responsibilities, including dealing with yokai and other supernatural beings. She is aided, and often hindered, by Tomoe, a fox yokai and the shrine's familiar, whose initial disdain for her slowly evolves. The series explores themes of responsibility, self-discovery, and the complexities of relationships as Nanami navigates her new divine life and the challenges that come with it. The setting blends the mundane world with the mystical, creating a charming and engaging story.
