EPISODE REVIEWS

I am not satisfied that we don't get to see the Ogre Master angry after what happened to Aoi. A good male lead show be allowed to expose himself with different emotions but we only get to see him mostly on one mood. It's boring. Not to mention, despite Ginji hinted as the second male lead, he barely does anything to deepen their bond outside of serving and being a lore dump for Aoi. The other characters are far more interesting because we actually know what they are about, the male leads still has a hole to fill but Aoi isn't interested to get to know them that makes it hard for me to be invested on their relationship. The repercussion are also pretty tame for those involved with Aoi's dangerous predicament, it gave little tension in the narrative when there's few stakes involved.

They're still piecing together who was behind Aoi's abduction but I can't complain when the episode gives us that much food. The daikon and sweet pork dishes looked delicious. And Ginji's fox form?! Way too cute.
