While it has a wholesome and nice atmosphere, the story has certainly gone stale over time. There was no follow up to the Daruma chefs, the accountant had a heavy introduction but barely present as an obstacle, people keeps seeing Shiro in Aoi repeatedly that at this point - I wish there was someone who see her as she is. She has a nice moment with the Ogre Master, that I'll admit is cute, but I haven't liked him enough to be invested in their relationship. They exchange friendship and moments, but they don't exchange vulnerabilities.

The accounting office arc is actually pretty fun. I really enjoyed seeing Aoi and Oodanna interact more privately while the tanuki storyline was surprisingly wholesome. The Shiro as a villain book idea was hilarious and Aoi's efforts ended up having much bigger consequences than expected.
