Episode Context

At the season's halfway point, this episode deliberately broadens the ensemble after five episodes primarily focused on the Kaguya-Shirogane psychological warfare, giving Ishigami his proper introduction and deepening the student council group dynamic. It builds on the growing cracks in both leads' composed facades shown in earlier episodes while establishing supporting character threads that become increasingly important in the back half. This expansion sets the stage for more complex multi-character comedy and emotional stakes heading into episodes 7 through 12.
