As the anime reaches its midpoint, this episode feels like a solid turning point. The story is getting more interesting, and things are finally starting to come together.
Things feel much less comfortable here. The usual comedy is still part of the series, but there’s a stronger sense that Jiyu can’t simply separate herself from all this samurai trouble anymore. What makes the episode engaging is how unprepared the situation feels. There’s no convenient moment for her to sort everything out first, and that uncertainty keeps the tension high.
The anime finally starts feeling genuinely good here. Jiyu's transformations have real consequences and I love that the story puts the focus back on the core cast. The pacing also is really good in this episode.
