Sai Nanohana’s past was really emotional and heartbreaking to watch. It added more depth to his character, and overall, this was a really nice and impactful episode.

Sai and Jiyu have probably become one of my favorite parts of the show. Their father-daughter dynamic can be eccentric, but underneath that is something genuinely warm. This episode lets that relationship breathe a little more, and somehow those smaller character interactions held my attention better than some of the louder episodes.

Wow the emotional depth is actually so great in this episode. Sai's backstory and the Nanohana family drama are really heartbreaking. The writing is mature and the soundtrack absolutely delivers the sad moments.

Positioned at the series' midpoint, it serves as connective tissue, developing character relationships and the central conflict before the narrative shifts toward more personal stakes in Episode 9, 'Dad's Premonition of Love,' which signals an emotional gear change heading into the final act.
