Every chapter keeps me on the edge of my seat. I love how they’re growing closer; it’s a fast-paced process, yet it feels completely natural. It’s charming and fun to see how seriously Yoi takes this new relationshi, almost like a competition to see who puts in more effort and I think that attitude is precisely what captivates Kohaku. I’m really enjoying the pacing and the dynamic between them. Kohaku is incredibly straightforward and fearless (he’s not even afraid of the in-laws, haha). So far, they’ve been very open about their feelings; I hope that continues.

I really like Kohaku’s character. I thought his dullness was going to be annoying, but it’s actually a good trait. I think Kohaku is smarter than he seems. I like how the dynamics are progressing so far. I’m just kind of worried if there’s going to be a low-point arc and how they’re going to deal with it, but so far it’s quite fine—more of an exploration of each other’s emotions. The anime looks really beautiful in certain scenes, especially the focus on Yoi’s eyes and what she sees. I like how the conflict is being set up. Kohaku’s feelings seem really superficial, or at least that’s what he’s letting Yoi see, but it’s all about exploring those feelings and seeing what they really feel for each other. I also love that there are no eternal misunderstandings and that they’re both quite direct when asking each other questions about their newfound relationship.

I feel like the story carries this anime, at least for me. I really like the slow and light atmosphere of the romance, that is absent of my most hated trope, miscommunication. The character, even when they seem simple, always acts in a realistic way, like I can imagine a girl like Yoi, all blushy and cute after hearing what Kohaku said, especially during that gondola scene. But again, the art is disctracting me, escpecially because I know how it should've been. I don't know, this anime has been giving me mixed feelings so far.

Hahaha episode ini lucu banget, apalagi di bagian awalnya yang peraturan itu. Pace-nya baik karena setiap episode punya kemajuan tertentu di dalam hubungan mereka dan bukannya tarik ulur perasaan. Hanya saja terkadang animasinya masih terkesan kaku.

It’s interesting how the dating started with Yoi-chan setting the rules and holding the advantage, only for things to end up the opposite. I like how direct she is though, unlike other female leads that keeps confusing male leads.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 3 follows directly from Yoi's confusion about Kohaku's feelings established in Episode 2, "The Evening Downpour and the Cat," and shifts the focus inward toward her own emotional blind spots. This is a crucial bridge episode — it takes the external tension between the leads and internalizes it, laying necessary groundwork before Episode 4, "Temperature of Love," where both characters begin confronting their emotions more openly. Essentially, this is the inhale before the exhale.
