I feel like the story carries this anime, at least for me. I really like the slow and light atmosphere of the romance, that is absent of my most hated trope, miscommunication. The character, even when they seem simple, always acts in a realistic way, like I can imagine a girl like Yoi, all blushy and cute after hearing what Kohaku said, especially during that gondola scene. But again, the art is disctracting me, escpecially because I know how it should've been. I don't know, this anime has been giving me mixed feelings so far.
