Now we're talking. I loved how they gave us a break from all the violence just to finally reveal the plot twist. I enjoy subtle horror like this. I am interested to see if Mimi's reveal has anything to do with the girl we saw in the first episode

that restoration kiss bloomed so bright it basically rang a dinner bell for the enemy. Sheena's magic is doing stuff nobody at that school accounted for and I need the finale to explain it

The bellflowers during Sheena's apology. Someone on the staff actually looked up what those mean and used them deliberately. Sincerity. Everlasting love. I sat there thinking about that for way too long

Ari turning down Mimi's offer to bring Seiran back hit harder than any battle this show has done. Letting someone stay dead because bringing them back would just trap them forever is such a brutal kind of love

the ending shots of them sleeping together after everything this episode put them through nearly broke me. there is one episode left and i am not ready for whatever it is

Look the do-nothing day and strawberry jam detour felt shoved in right after the heaviest scene of the season. I get that normalcy matters here but the tonal whiplash was rough and it undercut what should've been a slower landing for the reconciliation

The kiss heal scene looked gorgeous but the explosion cutting it off made me yell. Roll2 knows how to ruin a tender moment on purpose

those bellflowers by the apology and the single dahlia in Ari's room are doing so much quiet work. Sheena apologizing with flowers instead of words fit her so well

I don't trust Esther. She shows up every time someone's grieving with exactly the right words. Nobody is that conveniently kind

That shot of Mimi bloodied in the flowers from the nightmare keeps coming back as actual reality. The show planted it early and paid it off brutally

Sheena sprinting into the forest to heal Mimi was the moment she stopped being a bystander. She's been the mopey one all season and now she's the one who crosses the battlefield on her own two feet

the candy bag Esta gives Sheena was so heavy she almost buckled and that tiny beat said more about how people see Mimi than any speech could

Ari turning down the resurrection offer broke something in me. Bringing Seiran back would just hand her a front row seat to watch Ari die someday. That's the cruelest kind of love and she saw it clearly

Mimi laughing while planning strawberry jam right after standing over a battlefield with holes in her body is the most unsettling thing this show has done

I came for the war drama and stayed for a girl brushing another girl's hair before strawberry jam day. Then the battlefield happened and I felt sick. This show keeps tricking me into thinking it's soft and then Mimi is full of holes against a tree

Angsty AF and very emotional. It was hard to see the divide and how the episode ended. Overall a good episode and can't wait to see what happens next. Still the beautiful heartbreaking opening.

so the big reveal is Mimi's been hiding a trunk full of blood soaked uniforms and Shiina just stumbles onto it. brutal. and nobody in the school is even pretending to care that this girl keeps getting shipped back in a body bag. the adults know exactly what they're doing to her and that's the part that turns my stomach

you can defend the visuals all day but the exam sequence really did look cheap and the proportions during the fight were all over the place. the quiet scenes still carry it though. Shiina sitting by Mimi's bed at the end refusing to make excuses anymore is the version of her I wanted to see all season
