Now we're talking. I loved how they gave us a break from all the violence just to finally reveal the plot twist. I enjoy subtle horror like this. I am interested to see if Mimi's reveal has anything to do with the girl we saw in the first episode

So Sheena has the same magic as Mimi's dead mom. That explanation about why Mimi latched onto her instantly because she smells like her mother gutted me. Fran calling Mimi's mom a criminal for loving her daughter too hard is this show in a nutshell. Nothing about being born a weapon is fair

The a cappella opening had goosebumps on my arms before the episode even started. Then Mimi crying into her pillow about Seiran just broke me. She's supposed to be the unkillable weapon and she's begging for things to go back to normal. That salt scene was the only thing holding me together all episode

I was not ready for Livi to explain that Seiran's life belongs only to Seiran and no survivor's ego should force eternity onto someone. Fourteen years old saying that with a hand on her chest. And fans calling her cold need to sit with that logic a while

So Mimi's mom performed resurrection magic and got branded a criminal for loving her daughter too much. And Heal's tiny magic pool discovered to be the same rare attribute. This show keeps making me cry over background lore that slaps harder than it should

Mimi crying into her pillow asking why Seiran has to stay dead broke me. Then she eats Sheena's salty rice ball and laughs about it like nothing happened. The whiplash between grief and small joy is so real

That acapella version of the opening hit me way harder than it should have. Quiet domestic Sheena and Mimi shots against bare voices and then the rice ball scene where Mimi's hands shake... this show knows exactly what it's doing to us

The healing vs restoration distinction is so tragic when you sit with it. Sheena trained her whole purpose around saving Mimi but Mimi's body just reforms anyway. Healing someone who can't die means something completely different and I dont think Sheena realizes that yet

The new opening was so good and it hurt but so good. New info revealed! The plot thickens...

The toenail painting scene broke my heart so bad. They were just two girls being soft with each other and now Seiran is gone. When Ari whispered that saying it out loud would break her I felt that in my chest. Watching her hold everything in until Mimi finally cracked her open

I keep thinking about that title. I'm Back. Except Seiran never came back and Ari is never going to be the same person who left for that mission. The irony is brutal and I think it rewires how you see the whole episode on a rewatch

The scene where Mimi hugs Ali from behind at the funeral completely wrecked me. That slow breakdown after Ali had been holding it all together the whole episode. And then the nail polish flashback right before it made it hurt even worse

That ending threw me. Ari asking about revival magic right after Mimi finally got her to cry? The tonal whiplash is intentional but I'm terrified what bringing Seiran back costs. This world doesn't do freebies

The way Ali kept every memory of Seiran locked so tight she could barely breathe. And then Mimi just holds her and she finally cracks. Yui Ishikawa deserves every award for that funeral scene I'm not touching that flower either

IMO it was better than the previous episodes. Some more information about Mimi is given and a relaxing clean up happened. Very nice.

The story jumps right in so you know what you are getting yourself into. The Art was beautiful and the 3D aspects really stood out. The characters are not one-dimensional. The music was also really good.

A beautiful depiction of grief and how it impacts those close to oneself. This episode focuses entirely on Ari and Seiran, and how monumentally the latter's passing affects the former. I cried - that says a lot since I don't tend to at these things. Regardless of if what Mimi mentioned at the end becomes a part of the story or not, I still think taking so long to fully explore grief and the way it materialises was a wonderful way to spend an episode's runtime.

Those hair clip and nail polish flashbacks were pure cruelty. We got to fall in love with their domestic life right before it got ripped away. The GL crowd won big then lost everything in the same episode

This was another heartbreaking episod every deep thought provoking. Made me curious to watch the next episode.
