It turns out that Chitanda and I had the same focus. I didn’t care about the mystery of the locked room but rather about how I would end the movie if I were Hongou. It was a lackluster end of an arc, imo it felt like nobody really won except for a cute little curiosity monger 😅. I guess it was Irisu's plan that neither Eba nor Hongou appeared in this episode 🤷‍♂️

Well, that was a bit anticlimactic, not gonna lie. Still, I’m really surprised—and at the same time impressed—by Irisu. What a sly person. I’ve got to say, this is the first time I’ve seen Oreki this frustrated. It’s a really nice change of pace.

What a twist! The tone was doubtful, by all means pointing towards the self-deduction of Oreki. The background music was also great in increasing the intensity of the story. The road towards the result definitely reminded Oreki to be mindful of other aspects.
