Episode 1, "Red Notebook," launches the series with a compact urban-legend horror story built on unease rather than explanation. The mood is wintry and claustrophobic, moving from everyday school conversation into nighttime dread, with a snowstorm and a bedroom window as the focal points of suspense. A school rumor and a newly transferred student's growing anxiety drive the tension, anchored by the unsettling idea that looking outside at the wrong moment invites danger. Fushigi Senno appears as an enigmatic observer tied to the strange events, while the supernatural threat stays deliberately unresolved. This is a case-driven introduction that establishes the series' blend of familiar modern life, whispered folklore, and sudden paranormal peril. The episode favors atmosphere over gore, keeping its threat at the edge of the frame.
