Episode Context

Positioned at episode 65 of 75, this marks a return to substantive character development after the lighter interlude of Episode 64's 'Keichou Flowerpots' side story. Isumi's journey to China establishes critical groundwork for his continued arc, directly feeding into Episode 67's 'Isumi Tested,' where the fruits of this training period face real scrutiny. As the series enters its final stretch, episodes like this enrich the wider professional Go landscape surrounding Hikaru, ensuring the endgame carries weight beyond just the protagonist.
