The world-building was more noticeable here, but it was handled well and never felt like a chore to sit through. The lighter moments with the group helped balance things out before the story became more serious. The storehouse part had a quiet, creepy atmosphere that worked really well, and the ending raised the stakes without giving too much away. A solid follow-up episode.

A wonderful showcase of reverse-harem character introductions accented by mystical elements. The visual direction uses crisp framing and sharp shadow casting inside the traditional Ugaya shrine to emphasize Tamaki's confusion. The graphics emphasize the distinct color-coded spiritual auras of the five handsome Shugogo guardians who swear to protect her.

The reverse-harem genre hits the gas in this episode. The pacing felt very slow, but once again the charming tone came to the rescue. The animation looked clean as usual, and provided some rigid character development.
