EPISODE REVIEWS

The episode had a fun and more playful vibe at the start, especially with the group messing around with each other. It was a nice change of pace and helped show their dynamic better. The mood became more serious later on, adding some tension and giving a better look at the opposing side. A good episode for getting more invested in the characters and how they interact.

This episode i can say, is about school life clashes beautifully with ancient shinto aesthetics. The animation relies on vibrant, sun-drenched lens flares as the guardians awkwardly try to blend into a normal high school environment. The comedic split-screen reaction frames highlight the funny, protective tension as the boys refuse to leave Tamaki's side for even a second.

Finally, in this episode we got to see the group dynamic. Just as the final member joined, the pacing became a lot faster. The lore was perfectly balanced by the lighthearted tone, which was paired with some sharp animation, and provided the foundation for some real character development.
