I knew it! There’s another reason behind that. San Lang's way of fighting and how quick he thinks were jawdropping. I was really shocked by what happened at the end of the episode. The animation effects are also good.

Action-heavy chaos with betrayals and intensity all around. Definitely one of the most exciting episodes.

We’re really getting blessed with all of Hua Cheng’s different forms! And there's definitely a darker tone in this episode

Episode Context

Sitting at the two-thirds mark of a twelve-episode season, Episode 8 lands squarely in escalation territory, the groundwork from earlier episodes now gives way to direct confrontation with key antagonistic forces. Following Episode 7's 'A Thousand Miles Away,' which expanded the narrative scope, this episode narrows focus onto Qi Rong as a catalyst for rising conflict. With Episode 9 titled 'Yong An and Xianle', referencing historically significant locations, this installment appears to bridge present-day threats with the deeper lore that will drive the season's closing stretch.
