That lower angle was so weird. But the rest of the animation was amazing. The lore adds more depth to the story. I was so shocked and not going to lie it was a jaw dropping episode.

Climax energy. Everything feels like it’s colliding at once, even if not everything is fully resolved.

This episode really hurts and XL voice acting here is just superb TOT I feel bad for XL for putting all the blame on himself.

Episode Context

Sitting at episode 10 of 12, 'Bloodstained Banquet' serves as a critical turning point that escalates the fallout from episode 9's revelations about the intertwined histories of Yong An and Xianle. The consequences established here feed directly into episode 11's 'A Sad Parting Under Moonlight,' positioning this as the catalyst for the season's final emotional and narrative payoffs. This is where the season shifts from building tension to detonating it.
