EPISODE REVIEWS

Episode 8 is a solid, character-focused episode that leans into the romantic comedy elements the show handles well. The couples survey is a fun premise, the humor lands, and the moonlight scene delivers a small but meaningful step forward in Ryusei and Hanaori's relationship. It's not the most eventful episode, but it's charming and consistent with what makes the show work.

The bikini armor moment is peak comedy because Rokudo-sensei fooled her again. She believed the sage's advice twice this episode and it backfired both times. The bloomers reveal killed me. This show knows exactly what it is and I respect it

Kuraishi opening up about her mana overflow made me like her way more. She's not just comic relief. And Ryusei's three pillars of spellcasting advice actually felt like real teaching instead of a gag. Then the Counter Spell moment against those arrogant brats was pure satisfaction. Seeing Koitsu and Aitsu get pinned to the wall with obsidian spikes is exactly the petty revenge I watch this for
