This episode really makes me cry a lot. Nishinoya is so loyal and dedicated to supporting his team, especially the Ace. I'm so happy the Ace is finally back! I didn't expect Asahi to be that cute and shy though lol.

Such a feel-good moment for Asahi and Nishinoya. The episode handled the emotional scenes really well and gave a strong sense of pride and resolution for the characters involved.

The way the Freak Duo keeps surprising everyone with their quick set never gets old. It’s always so satisfying to watch. This was a solid episode that also gave us bits of backstory for some characters.

Episode Context

Picking up directly from episode 8's exploration of the team's fractured dynamic around their missing ace, this ninth episode pushes Asahi's personal arc toward a critical turning point while deepening the bonds between key third-years. It sits at roughly the season's midpoint, transitioning Karasuno from an incomplete roster dealing with internal conflict toward a united squad preparing for the highly anticipated practice match against rival Nekoma. The groundwork laid here, particularly around trust between setter, ace, and libero, becomes essential for everything that follows.
